Some Windows users really like the look of the Ubuntu OS

A developer has managed to copy the look and feel of the Ubuntu desktop to Windows 8.1, utterly transforming the user experience.

The design is so well done, that if you would only give it a glance, it would be difficult to say that it's actually Windows and not Ubuntu.

The developer from Cleodesktop has named the theme Maverick, which is actually a bizarre choice. The actual name of the theme on Ubuntu 13.10 is Ambiance and it has nothing to do with Apple (I suppose that was the inspiration for the name).

It's not an easy theme to install, you will have to know a thing or two about Windows, and you will also have to use the Uxtheme Multi-patcher. More details are given on the official website of the Maverick theme.

Update: The name of the theme is inspired by Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat), which has completely slipped my mind. It has nothing to do with Apple and its latest OS.
