Google currently owns a huge number of solutions including Gmail - the mail solution, Google Talk - the instant messaging client, Google Search - the most powerful search engine on the internet, Google Docs & Spreadsheets - an online Office-like application and many other attracting services. Although it owns a huge number of solutions from all categories, Google is continuously developing new ideas and projects that are meant to improve our web experience.

Some time ago, Google was named as the best company to work for because it offers a lot of bonuses and special offers to its employees, in addition to 20 percent of the work time for individual projects. Google's employees are trying to develop new solutions using customers' help by releasing several services that allow clients to collaborate with the search giant's representatives in products' building.

Let's take Google Desktop for example. It is a downloadable application that allows you to search your computer for certain files using the power of Google search engine. After the first run of the program, Google Desktop will index all your files stored in your computers and will help you find your files quick and easy. Because the product is quite popular, Google decided to include support for gadgets, tiny tools that will improve the functionality of the application. Although some of these utilities were created by the search giant, users are also allowed to develop gadgets for Google Desktop.

It's obvious that the company wants to develop new solutions with users' help, introducing more and more utilities that increase the power of the clients to develop Google services. Today, the search giant announced that a new website is available and that it contains all the products developed by its users.

"The good folks over at code.google.com have launched a Developer Knowledge Base, where most of the Google developer products are represented, including Google Desktop Gadgets. There's a series of Getting Started articles, which combined with the improved documentation and new tutorial makes it easier than ever to learn how to create gadgets. And there's a growing collection of How To's and Gadget Best Practices that can help elevate your skills. This is just the beginning, so please post any suggestions, feedback or article ideas to our Developer Forum," James Yum, Support Engineer, said on the official blog.
