“Harry Potter” has come to an end, at least for the stars involved in the making of it. As they shot the final scene for the last film in the franchise that catapulted them on the map of the biggest young stars in the movie industry, Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe seemed on the verge of tears, the Daily Mail says based on the pictures made available online.

Not that it wouldn’t be understandable if they did cry, come to think of it: after all, this was the movie franchise they grew up with and not just the production that made them rich beyond their wildest dreams. In past interviews, the two young British thespians repeatedly stated that their careers would come at a standstill once production on “Harry Potter” wraps, with Watson even saying she would be “devastated.” That time has come, says the tab.

“The lead actors from the Harry Potter films have expressed their devastation over the franchise coming to an end, but now the pain has been captured on their faces. As Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, and Daniel Radcliffe, wizard Harry Potter, shot their final scenes for the film, they looked distraught. The actors were shooting in the countryside near Stevenage, Hertfordshire, for the seventh and final Potter movie and were noticeably emotional,” the Mail writes.

“Watson had her hand on Radcliffe’s shoulder to comfort him, while their co-star Rupert Grint, who plays Ron, also had a frown on his face and his arm in a sling. The final episode in the series will see the three friends propelled into the future, where we will see them as middle aged parents. Some of the final filming for the new flick is also taking part in London, and just days ago Kings Cross station was transformed into platform 9 ¾ for the adaptation of JK Rowling’s books,” the publication further informs.

Just recently, when asked about what it was like to know that “Harry Potter” was about to come to an end, Emma Watson compared the experience to being by the bedside of a very dear friend who was dying. The actress has no doubts she will have a successful career in the industry (as neither do her fans or film critics, for that matter) but the parting from “Harry Potter” is indeed a very sad one.
