Dev-Team Announces ‘Very Preliminary’ iPhone 4S, iPad 2 Jailbreaks

iPhone Dev-Team member Musclenerd has posted a number of Tweets and a YouTube video demonstrating a “very preliminary” jailbreak of the iOS 5 on iPhone 4S and iPad 2, two devices that have remained untouched by the hackers’ wrath.

Musclenerd is showing off a quick demo of a “very preliminary iOS 5 jailbreak on iPad 2”, as well as a few screenshots proving the Team’s progress on the iPhone 4S, all confirmed via the hacker’s Twitter feed, in usual manner.

Musclenerd says there are still “lots of hurdles left,” therefore the Dev Team is unable to provide ETAs for now.

However, if history is any indication, Redsn0w, and possibly the Team’s flagship jailbreak solution, PwnageTool, will soon receive updates, enabling the entire iOS 5 user base to hack their latest iDevices from Apple.
