Deus Ex: The Fall, last year's mobile installment in Eidos Montreal's successful franchise, will appear for the PC platform next month, via the Steam digital distribution service from Valve.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution brought the cyberpunk franchise back in a great way with a new protagonist, some great RPG mechanics, not to mention a captivating story that dealt with human augmentation and other such hot topics.

After that success, Eidos Montreal started work on a new full-fledged game, but it also rolled out alongside Square Enix Montreal a mobile spinoff called Deus Ex: The Fall, which appeared on tablets and smartphones powered by the iOS and Android operating systems.

The game had some degree of success, but it didn't really expand the franchise into the mobile entertainment area.

Now, it seems that Square Enix doesn’t want to let The Fall be a mobile exclusive and has confirmed on the European blog that the recent title is going to make its debut for the PC platform next month.

More specifically, Deus Ex: The Fall will be launched via the Steam digital distribution service from Valve for PC on March 25.

Quite a lot of major improvements have been made to the original release, according to the publisher.

"The game’s been adapted for the PC, meaning (of course) full keyboard/mouse controls, but also a whole bunch of other little bits too - so if you didn’t fancy dipping into Ben Saxon’s story previously, now would be an eminently sensible time to reconsider."

"After all, the game was produced with the original creative team from the superb Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and there's the small matter of new tracks penned by none other than Michael McCann."

A special list of features for Deus Ex: The Fall on the PC has also been offered, so check it out below.

- No in-game purchase options - 28 Steam achievements - Adjusted AI - Steam Trading Cards, Badges - Revised tutorial - Full keyboard and Mouse control optimisation - Rebalanced game economy taking into account no In-App-Purchases - Microsoft Controller support - Removal of auto target options - Reduction in aiming recital size - Choice in cover style as Deus Ex: Human Revolution (HOLD or Toggle) - Resolution options - Anti Aliasing option - Vsync - Control maps for keyboard and gamepad

Deus Ex: The Fall will be released for the PC via Steam on March 25 and will cost £7.99/€9.99/$9.99. Those who pre-order it or buy it for a limited time after launch will receive a free copy of Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition, the full version of the classic game. If you already own it, a copy will be added to your Steam inventory so that you can give it away.
