Deus Ex: The Conspiracy is a videogame created by Ion Storm Inc. and published by Eidos Interactive Ltd. The game was developed for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony, the PC and the Mac. It was released in March 2002. The title is classed as an action and role playing hybrid game, played from a first person perspective, and has a lot of cyberpunk and sci fi elements.

Deus Ex: The Conspiracy tells the story of a dystopian future, set in 2050, when a secret society seeks to control the entire population of the Earth. There's a very deadly virus, called “The Grey Death,” which threatens the civilian population, while the “Ambrosia” antidote is only available to the wealthy and powerful and used as a means of control. Various organizations, dubbed “terrorist,” are threatening the security of information networks, while the United Nations created the United Nations Anti-Terrorist Coalition to deal with the threats.

The hero of the game is JC Denton, one of the first agents to have nano augmentations, as opposed to the cybernetic ones that are common in the game world. As the game progresses, he is set in the middle of a world wide conspiracy and must use all his skills to learn the truth.

The game blends classic shooter action with sneaking elements and with a lot of role playing elements, like selecting character upgrades and weapon management. There are also some puzzles that need to be solved.

Extra items

When you are low on items, go up behind a security guard and make sure there are no robots, other guards, or cameras around. Hit him with the crowbar. He should die instantly and have bullets, knockout ammo, explosives, and a few other items that are very useful.

Control credits

Press Up to roll the credits faster or press Down to slow them down.

Candy bar in training missions

When doing the training missions, you are taught how to climb ladders. In this room, there are two pipes on the left wall. Go to the far end of the room and look down the end of the pipe to find a candy bar.
