If you thought Tara Conner got the better deal when she was granted a second chance for the title of Miss USA, then you haven't heard the offers the dethroned Miss Nevada has been getting lately. Because, while Tara is in rehab (the only condition she had to fulfill to keep her tiara), Katie Rees is having money thrown at her from all sides.
To start this story from the beginning (leaving aside the Conner scandal, 'cause that's too dry a topic now to speak more of it), last month, as people were packing their bags and preparing to go on a well-deserved Christmas holiday, a bunch of photos of Miss Nevada in very indecent postures appeared on the Internet.
It was kind of a blow for Donald Trump (who co-owns the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants with NBC), who had just come out of a very rough period, having had to decide what to do with Tara Conner only a couple of days before. Anyway, those racy photos, taken when Rees was 17 (probably) and long before she became a beautiful representative of Nevada, showed her in all kinds of postures with girls, showing off parts of her body, kissing girls and simulating oral sex both on them and on a man.
Initially, she issued a statement (via her attorney) that said that she was partying and that she might have gone a bit too far, also hinting at the possibility that she might have been a bit ('underagedly') drunk. Later, she said in person that she must not be judged by those photos because that's not who she really was.

And, yet, The Donald did just that - judge her, I mean. After a proper period of consideration, Trump stripped Rees of her title and tiara but the 22-year-old was not exactly left standing in the rain as one might think. She already had an offer of more than $2 million (which she accepted) to host a variety show, a remake of Beacher's Madhouse, at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Even more, after seeing her 'potential', producer Joe Francis wanted her in his 'Girls Gone Wild' movies, offering her $25,000 and $2 for each video sold. She was to be the host and to make a special film with just her and Francis but she turned it down, a thing that her publicist confirmed yesterday.
The most popular men's magazine, 'Playboy', also wanted Katie for a photo spread and, if one was to believe her publicist, she turned that down, too. However, there still are many sources from the inside that claim that she didn't give a definite 'no' to Hefner yet and that they are now in talks. If the deal goes down and an agreement is reached between the two parties, you are sure to find out about it here.
In the meantime, Katie's friends are defending her actions (and implicitly the photos) by attacking Donald Trump. 'Donald Trump is a hypocrite. He lets one girl keep her crown who is a drug addict, but the girl who is a hot, fun party girl who enjoys other women has to be dethroned? I think her lifestyle is fun and amazing. Donald should really stop being so prejudiced against gay and lesbian people, like his fight with Rosie [O'Donnell]', one of Katie's gal pals told the media yesterday.
