South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is gearing up for the release of a new Android-based mobile phone on shelves in Europe, namely the Samsung Galaxy Note, and some more info on the wireless carriers that will add it to their offering emerged.

The smartphone was unveiled to the world in early September during the IFA 2011 show in Berlin, and arrives on the market with the largest touchscreen an Android smartphone has to offer.

The handset is on its way to a wide range of wireless carriers on the European market, and will also go up for sale SIM-free in many markets.

The Galaxy Note was already made available for purchase in Germany, via wireless carriers Vodafone, T-Mobile and O2, and is set to become available for purchase in the Netherlands and Belgium today on the airwaves of KPN and Vodafone.

The guys over at Android Central have put up a list with all European countries that should get a taste of Galaxy Note, and also added the wireless carriers that are expected to make it available for their customers.

Countries like Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Portugal, Greece, the UK, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Finland, Denmark, Sweden and more will get a taste of this mobile phone before the end of November.

Basically, the Galaxy Note should arrive all around Europe during this month, which sounds like great news for enthusiasts.

The smartphone packs a large 5.3-inch touchscreen display that can deliver an 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, a fast dual-core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A9 application processor, and 1GB of RAM for increased performance capabilities.

Moreover, the new device features an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto focus, LED flash and HD video recording capabilities, as well as a 2MP camera on the front for video calling.

It packs 16Gb or 32GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, and the like.
