MSI has many mobile computers roaming the worldwide market, what with some new device or another coming out on a regular basis, and it looks like the company just finished a certain notebook called CR460.

Micro-Star International, like pretty much every other player on the mobile market, has been quite active lately.

Of course, this is because of all the movement on the tablet market, which the company has a stake in, or is trying to gain a solid chunk of.

In fact, the outfit is going to launch some slates during the upcoming Computex 2011 trade show, both ARM and AMD-based.

Now, however, the outfit has developed not a slate but a notebook, called CR460 and with a screen size of 14 inches.

The newcomer has an Intel Sandy Bridge central processing unit at its heart, with available models including the Core i3-2310M (2.1 GHz base clock) and the Core i5-2410M (2.3 GHz).

Whichever chip is selected has its own integrated graphics, meaning that no discrete GPU from AMD or NVIDIA is needed.

Indeed, with such boards absent, the Intel HD 3000 graphics get full reign over the LED-backlit LCD, whose native resolution is of 1,366 x 768 pixels.

Storage space is provided, as one would expect, by a hard disk drive (up to 500 GB), while an HDMI output allows for streaming media to monitors or HDTVs.

Other specifications include a 720p webcam, USB 3.0 connectivity (optional), a multi-card reader, a DVD writer and, of course, Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0.

The feature set is completed by the chiclet keyboard, the checkerboard pattern on the lid and the ECO engine power-saving technology, which has 5 energy management modes (Video clip Sport, Movie, Presentation, Phrase Processing, and Turbo Battery).

All in all, the 14-incher weighs 2.2 kilograms but has not yet been given a price tag.
