Destroy All Humans! 2 is a videogame created by Pandemic Studio LLC and published by THQ. The title was designed for the PlayStation 2 gaming console from Sony and for the original Xbox from Microsoft. It was released in October 2006 and it is classed as an action adventure title with some puzzle solving and some sci-fi elements. There are significant similarities between this game and the first title in the series, namely Destroy All Humans!
Another alien invasion is heading towards the Earth and the old protagonist of the series, Crypto 137, is again spearheading the assault. The general feel of the game is similar to that of 1960's America, as most of the missions are built around zapping humans with a vast arsenal of weapons, while some focus on tricking and hypnotizing people to get back to your mother ship to be interrogated or experimented on.
The weapons you can use are the Zap-o-Matic, the Ray Gun, the Dislocator, which shoots purple discs and grabs tanks; there's also a gun that can bring down meteor strikes and Gastro, a hologram on a hover-ship that helps out Crypto.
Destroy All Humans! 2 also has a cooperative play mode. The entire title can now be played using a split screen view. The second gamer in this mode can jump in and out of the game at any moment, to help the main character.
