Destiny's Child announced they decided to release a greatest hits album, with new material included, and a concert DVD before their proposed split.
Destiny's Child member, Kelly Rowland told Billboard.com: "We've got a DVD planned - it was actually recorded July 15 at our great Atlanta Phillips Arena show, and we're going to do a greatest hits album.
We're definitely going to record another song for our greatest hits album for our fans. We're still thinking about it because we want it to mean something."
The girls announced their break-up on June 12 during a Barcelona concert, when group member Kelly Rowland said that it could be some years before another album from the chart-toppers is released and they knew before that 'Destiny Fulfilled' would be their last studio album.
Rowland told Billboard: "We knew before this last album and we embraced it. We were like, 'You know what, we're getting older and we want to end on a high note.' We want to give our fans a great final record and we want to have a great tour and above everything, we're still going to be here (for each other). We even make jokes about having our babies on the same day."
