They didn’t sing their new song, but they still put on an amazing show

It wasn’t the surprise organizers thought it would be but the Destiny’s Child reunion at the Super Bowl 2013, during Beyonce’s Halftime performance managed to get fans extremely hyped up.

Check out Bey’s entire Halftime show above: Kelly and Michelle come in past the 7:30-minute mark and linger well into Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” on which they help out with the backing vocals.

As you can imagine, the reunion managed to get fans all sorts of excited, even though many also found reason to complain with it.

The biggest gripe, from what I can see on Twitter and over at MTV, is that the girls’ microphones weren’t turned on as loudly as Beyonce’s, which made them sound more like backup singers than performers on equal footing with her.

As I already noted earlier today, Destiny’s Child performed “Bootylicious” and “Independent Women.” If you like what you see and hear, you should know that the girls have a new album out, “Love Songs.”
