Bungie, the developer of the ambitious Destiny first-person shooter that will launch this September, has confirmed that it's going to debut two different versions of the game at E3 2014 next week, one for regular fans and attendants, and one for the press, which will feature more juicy content.

Bungie amazed millions of gamers over the years with the top-notch Halo games, and for quite some time it's been working on its own project, in the form of Destiny, a multiplayer-only first-person shooter that will deliver a persistent online world across the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

The game will be demonstrated at E3 2014 during the Sony press conference on June 9, and developer Bungie has confirmed on its blog that different versions of the game will be presented at the large trade show.

First up, regular fans who attend the conference will get to try out the Player-versus-Player (PvP) portion of the game. Meanwhile, press members will be able to try out the story-based aspect of the first-person shooter.

"For the brave and the patient, we’ll be hosting a competitive engagement in our booth. Guardian will battle Guardian for the first time for control of the arena. More exclusive encounters will lure brave investigators deeper into the world we’ve been building. Behind those closed doors, the promise of choosing your adventure will become less of a mystery," the studio said.

The developer has also confirmed that plenty of details about the game's factions will be shared after E3 2014, so that fans can get more excited about the story side of the multiplayer shooter.

The studio has also emphasized that it's quite grateful for the reaction from the gaming community to its ambitious project and that it wants to make sure they'll enjoy it when it launches this September.

"You’re more than ready. Some of you have daydreamed about this game for years. Frankly, we don’t know how you do it. It’s humbling to see so many people who are eager to get their hands on what we’ve been describing. We owe it to you to do this right, which is why you’re made to wait for moments like the ones we have planned for this week."

Destiny is set to launch on September 9 worldwide. A special beta will start in July, first on PS3 and PS4, and then on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Expect to hear more about the game next week, when E3 2014 kicks off.
