Iron Banner should return later in the month

The development team at Bungie might be working on a second full expansion for Destiny, but at the same time, they are also working hard to keep the dedicated player community engaged with the social shooter, with this week’s Heroic Strike asking players to take out Valus Ta’Aurc in order to get a chance at getting strange coins and Vanguard Marks.

The information was posted on the official Twitter account of the game and gamers who are interested in the rewards should move fast to engage the target designated by the developers.

The Weekly content for Destiny was subject of controversy when Bungie delivered The Dark Below, the first major expansion for the title, because certain selections locked those who only had the base game out of the fight.

Since then, the studio has made clear that it was aiming to mix classic and expansion content on alternate weeks in order to make sure that all members of the community had a clear goal to work towards.

Some gamers have complained that the weekly content for the game is too limited and should be expanded, especially during those times when there are no other major events running in the world of the shooter.

Destiny is preparing for House of Wolves

The Dark Below might have only been delivered one month ago, but most dedicated players have already reached the new level cap and the difficult Crota’s End raid is getting completed by more and more teams.

Bungie is at the moment working to flesh out the content which will be part of the second expansion, called House of Wolves, which a leak says will arrive in March and will include about the same amount of content as the first one.

Until then, the Iron Banner Player versus Player event should return to Destiny during the next week.

Bungie is also already exploring ideas for a bigger third expansion, which should arrive in the middle of the year, and a full-fledged sequel for the social shooter is at the moment also considered.

Destiny has been played by more than 12.5 million gamers, as a statistic released before the end of 2014 revealed, and the number will increase as more expansions are delivered.
