The development team at Bungie has updated the official website of the upcoming Destiny video game with new information that allows fans to get more details on the world of the game and on the classes that they will be able to use during combat.

The company is interested in giving those who are following the development process as much lore to digest as possible before the launch of the beta stage, that’s set to be introduced at some point during the summer.

Gamers can get more information on the three classes included in Destiny, with videos showing them all in action:

- Titans – who built the wall that protects the final city on Earth and die defending it, focused on strength and on powerful weapons; - Warlock – those who have mastered arcane energies and seek to discover the secrets of the fabled Golden Age; - Hunter – a resourceful former rogue who is able to use unorthodox tactics and abilities.

The story of Destiny involved a powerful Traveller, a being that could not be rationally explained, that terraformed both Venus and Mars, allowed humanity to explore and colonize the planets and then aim to spread through the rest of the universe.

An ancient enemy followed him and brought devastation in its wake, creating the current situation, with humanity reduced to just one city that needs to be defended as others work to unlock the secrets of the Golden Age and restore the fortunes of our race.

The official game website can also be explored to get more information on the various types of enemies that gamers can meet and the ways they will attack the players.

Destiny is a first-person shooter that Bungie is developing using the most recent technology in order to create a series of complex worlds to explore and some cool types of enemies to battle.

At the same time, the studio is borrowing mechanics from the massive multiplayer online and the role-playing genres in order to give players a lot of options when it comes to character development and loadout.

The whole game can be experienced entirely solo, but Bungie says that it is working to create a highly social space that will encourage players to group and work together.

Destiny is at the moment set to be launched on the PlayStation 4, the PS3, the Xbox One and the 360 on September 9 all over the world.
