Destiny might have just been officially launched in most territories, but there's spectacular footage from the video game that's already available for fans to watch, offering plenty of details about the core mechanics and about the first hours of the experience.

But new footage shows something even more impressive, as one of the developers at Bungie takes on a number of players in one of the Player versus Player areas of the first-person shooter, showing off a range of skills.

Destiny is a complex first-person shooter that has a lot of social elements and gamers can both cooperate in order to take out aliens and secure resources for the final human city on Earth and compete in order to reveal the power of their skill choices and items.

The development team has already engaged with fans during the beta and is apparently eager to also do so now that the title is officially launched.

The experience is at the moment offered on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles, and rumors continue to insist that a version for the PC will also be offered.

Bungie has only confirmed that it is preparing at least two big expansions for Destiny, the first of which will be launched before the end of the year and is called The Dark Below.
