Gamers will have to learn to play on a new map

The development team at Bungie is proud of the involvement of the Destiny player base in the new Trials of Osiris experience, saying that 3,798,561 matches were played during the first week that the event was live for the community.

The new Weekly Update also revealed that more than 118 million kills were generated during the same period and 299,001 Guardians managed to maintain a perfect scorecard, with a higher number able to perform well enough to explore the new social space on Mercury.

The Trials of Osiris mode will come back to Destiny at 10 AM Pacific Time and those interested will have to find their way around an entirely new map.

The development team also says that it has found that some players were tempted by cheating in the Player versus Player experience.

The company states, "There were some among you who took nefarious action against your opponents. Our intrepid team of investigators has diagnosed the most egregious cheaters among us. If you earned your victories by sinister means, you may very well have also earned a temporary (or permanent) time-out."

Bungie is not saying how many players might have tried to bend the rules of Trials of Osiris in their favor and claims that all those who were affected by a genuine connection bug should not be worried about punishment.

No info about a new update for Destiny

Update 1.2.0.1 for the social shooter was launched alongside the House of Wolves expansion on May 19.

Since then the community has been reporting a number of problems with the video game but Bungie is not saying when it might deliver another patch to eliminate them and better balance the experience.

Bungie has already said that it is waiting for more feedback on both Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders before it will tweak them in any major way.

The studio is also working on another end-game raid, although no info has been offered on when it might be launched or whether it will include any new mechanics.

Rumors are suggesting that a new expansion for Destiny, called The Taken King, is at the moment in development and will be introduced on all platforms before the end of the year.
