Gamers will learn more from a world art team leader

Despite the fact that plenty of Destiny players have reached maximum level, it seems that the team at Bungie is not satisfied with their knowledge of the game's world and a new Ride Along event is being launched this Friday in order to offer more information about Mars and its many wonders.

The event is designed to show the community members areas they already have been to in a new light, with help from members of the development team and special guests.

This time around, gamers will get details about Mars and its unique features from Jason Sussman, who was the leader of the world art team working on the environments.

The Ride Along event for Bungie will take place on Friday, February 20, between 1:30 and 2:30 PM Pacific Time, and everyone who is interested can watch it on the official Twitch channel of the game.

Bungie adds, "Along for the ride will be a special guest who is no stranger to both story and science. When Craig Hardgrove isn’t chatting about Destiny with his co-hosts on Guardian Radio, he’s producing audio adaptations of Grimoire cards. He also worked with the JPL team that landed the Curiosity Rover on Mars."

The weekly events the studio is running are a way to keep the player community engaged and to give it extra background that can be used to better enjoy the social shooter, or simply new ways to interact with the developers.

Destiny is waiting for its second major expansion, House of Wolves

There's a segment of players who will be interested in the community events and in the weekly content Bungie is delivering, but most of the player base is eagerly awaiting the launch of the second major expansion.

House of Wolves is designed to introduce a new major end-game raid, some strikes, more levels for Guardians to advance through and plenty of new items and weapons.

Some of them have been featured in a major leak earlier in the year, but Bungie is claiming that the images are outdated and that it has some surprises in store for all fans.

At the moment, House of Wolves has only been confirmed as coming in the second financial quarter of the year, with an even bigger content drop for Destiny planned to be deployed towards the end of the year.
