Bungie has started talking about the scope of the Destiny experience and says that players shouldn't worry about the size of the game's main areas, as there will be plenty of activities inside all of them.

Destiny is eagerly awaited by millions of gamers from around the world and quite a lot of them jumped into the title’s open beta stage in the last few days on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms.

While the test phase offered the Earth zone of Old Russia, and for a limited time, the first mission on the Moon, many users were hungry for more things to explore.

However, once it was revealed via datamining that each planet would have only one major zone, quite a lot of players started worrying about Bungie skimping on content for the full-fledged release of the game.

In order to quell any worries from fans, one of Bungie's representatives has given a statement via NeoGAF, emphasizing the big scope of Destiny and how it's more than just the main zones.

"Destiny's pretty big. It's the biggest game we've ever made, by far, and we're sort of known for making games you can play for months, years, and even decades if you're a little bit...dedicated," he says.

The scale of the game may not be that huge, especially when it comes to the Moon, but Destiny is actually about scope, offering a lot of activities for all players to enjoy.

"With Destiny, we're looking to exceed what we've done before, not just in terms of scale - the Moon is our smallest destination - but in terms of scope and breadth of activities. That's true for day one, as you expect, but it also means we want Destiny to have super long legs."

Bungie apparently still has quite a few things that haven't been shown off and the studio hopes to keep players hooked on the multiplayer experience for a very long time after launch.

"If we're fortunate enough to have you playing months after launch, you still find lots of compelling stuff to do. That will manifest itself in a myriad of ways, from straight up content to cool activities we've yet to show off."

Destiny is scheduled to release on September 9 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms worldwide. You can bet that Bungie will share even more details about the multiplayer shooter until then.
