The beta stage for the Destiny shooter has ended, and the development team at Bungie has used the time since then to compile a pretty impressive infographic which shows how many players have taken part in the testing period and how they approached the new title.

All the information is part of a new weekly update from the company which states, "Now that it’s over, we’re having a blast all over again as you all try to tell your war stories in the loudest voice. The Destiny community has changed. You’ve seen some things. What’s been seen cannot be unseen."

More than 6.5 guardians were created in the beta for Destiny, and Bungie also says that more than 88,380,000 games were launched.

The studio apologizes for its inability to track how much glimmer was earned during the same period, but a look at the infographic should give fans access to a number of other interesting details about the game.

Bungie adds, "At its peak, the Destiny Beta became the most simultaneously played Bungie game of all time. There were more people online at the same time to play Destiny than any other game in our history. The Beta was more played than even final versions of previous Bungie games. You joined forces to populate the last safe city on Earth, and blew our minds."

The studio also explains that during the final hours of the beta it stressed the game in unusual ways in order to see exactly how the full launch could shape up, and it suggests that performance was good despite a smaller list of servers and the delivery of new content.

The official blog post also thanks all the players who have tested Destiny and says that their input will be crucial when it comes to the quality of the final game.

Gamers are also invited to continue to share their stories about the beta with the community and talk to the studio about their concerns.

Bungie also says that it will improve the chat system before the title is live and that it plans to deliver some more information about the Raids that will make up the end-game content.

Destiny will be launched on September 9 on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and last-gen consoles.

The title will blend a classic first-person shooter structure with elements taken from the massive multiplayer online and the role-playing genres.
