The development team at Bungie and publisher Activision are delivering a new tool, similar in style to Google Earth, which allows fans of the upcoming Destiny to travel around the world of the shooter to explore all the planets at will and familiarize themselves with them before the actual launch.

Gamers can watch the attached footage to see how easy it is to look at every area of Venus, Mars and the Moon, with the option to get information about enemies, get a look at hard-to-reach areas and even place bookmarks.

The Google Earth style service will probably be updated as Bungie delivers more content for Destiny in order to make sure that gamers always have a clear reference point for the universe.

The first-person shooter will be offered on the PlayStation 4, the PS3, the Xbox One and the 360 on September 9 of this year.

The game will unlock as soon as the date comes anywhere in the world, which means that gamers who secure a copy of the game can play a few hours before the official release day.

Bungie has already said that it has big long-term plans for Destiny and that it is already working on the first DLC, called The Dark Below, which will arrive in late 2014.
