After revealing its long-awaited Destiny title to the world yesterday, Bungie has now let loose some more details about the actual game, including an impressive description plus a list of features.

Bungie made a name for itself by creating the Halo franchise but the studio, now an independent entity, surprised a lot of people when it revealed that it was teaming up with publisher Activision to create a 10-year property known only as Destiny.

After lots of leaks and rumors, Destiny was revealed to the world yesterday through a special video in which the studio's staff talks about what makes the first-person shooter stand out, including the fact that it requires a constant online connection in order to reflect the changes inflicted by players on the game's world.

Now, Bungie has posted some more details on the game's official website, including a special description that shares more info about the game's universe and mythos, so enjoy it below.

"Everything changed with the arrival of the Traveler. It sparked a Golden Age when our civilization spanned the solar system, but it didn't last. Something hit us, knocked us down. The survivors built a city beneath the Traveler, and have begun to explore our old worlds, only to find them filled with deadly foes."

"You are a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth, able to wield incredible power. Defend the City. Defeat our enemies. Reclaim all that we have lost. Be brave."

What's more, Bungie also posted a list of the actual features included in Destiny, which emphasize the shared world, its customization possibilities, and the top-notch shooter gameplay.

"- The next evolution of entertainment — an incredible story set within a newly-imagined, always-connected universe filled with action and adventure. - Create your character, forge your legend by defeating powerful foes, and earn unique and customizable weapons, gear, and vehicles. - Unprecedented variety of FPS gameplay, including story, cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes combined with public and social activities."

Destiny is expected to appear in the near future on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
