Bungie is committed to achieving the fabled 1080p resolution on the Xbox One, and in order to prove its dedication, it released the first ever footage of Destiny running in full HD on Microsoft's next-gen console.

Although Bungie couldn't manage to hit the 1080p mark for the Destiny beta test, the developer is aiming to achieve it in time for the online multiplayer first-person shooter's retail release.

The first ever footage of Destiny running at 1080p and 30 frames per second comes courtesy of IGN, the developer commentary noting that the team worked closely with Microsoft in order to optimize their code and match the visual fidelity achieved on the PlayStation 4.

This is yet another effort from Bungie to appease the roaring crowds crying "betrayal," its intention being to cool the tendency of fanboys to boast an "enhanced experience" on the PlayStation 4 platform.

Bungie Graphics Engineer Chris Tchou even states that the open-world shooter "is the same everywhere," and it definitely looks like he intends to make sure that things really are that way when Destiny comes out.

The Xbox One and Xbox 360 Destiny beta is taking off tomorrow, and although the Xbox One will run the game at 900p for the time being, Bungie promised to up the resolution to 1080p in time for the game's full launch, on September 9.
