PS4 owners interested in trying out the Destiny first look alpha can now register for a chance to gain access into the special test stage that will kick off tomorrow, June 12, and last until June 15.

Destiny is one of the most anticipated games of the year, as the multiplayer-only first-person shooter from Bungie has gotten a lot of people excited about its action, especially after the great demonstrations organized at E3 2014 in the last few days.

Ahead of the promised beta stage, Destiny is going to receive a special "first look alpha" test phase on the PlayStation 4 lasting between June 12 and 15 on the Sony platform.

In order to gain entry into the test phase, PS4 owners must head on over to the official website and register with their PlayStation Network IDs until 11:59pm PST on July 11.

According to the official FAQ, the first look alpha will offer a sample of what's possible in Destiny and serves as a test phase ahead of the beta release in July and the full one in September.

"Welcome to the Destiny First Look Alpha, a small sampling of activities you'll find in the final experience. Destiny is an action game that combines the campaign story, cooperative, and competitive modes you expect, with in-depth character creation and a huge variety of weapons, armor, and combat abilities."

"Create a character. Take it into every mode. Venture out into the world alone, or play with friends in search of action and adventure."

Bungie emphasizes that the alpha is still a work in progress, meaning bugs, glitches, and unpolished visuals will certainly appear.

The studio will randomly choose from those who registered to try out the Destiny first look alpha and send the codes starting at 12pm tomorrow, June 12. The codes will be signaled on the PS4 of that user as well as sent to the email address associated with the PSN ID.

While being a PlayStation Plus member or having pre-ordered Destiny doesn't affect your chances of gaining access into the upcoming alpha stage, bear in mind that you do need a Plus subscription to play it online with friends.

The Destiny beta stage has been confirmed to kick off on PS4 and PS3 on July 17 and will feature more content and run for a longer period of time than the current alpha test phase. After a few days, it will also debut on Xbox 360 and Xbox One for those who pre-ordered the game.

Destiny launches worldwide on September 9.
