Destiny's servers aren't even online and the day-one update for the multiplayer first-person shooter has already been rolled out onto the PlayStation Network service, weighing in at 296MB and taking the game to version 1.02.

Destiny debuts officially tomorrow, September 9, around the world, but its servers will go live later today, September 8, globally, so that those with advanced copies and media members can already start making progress in the shooter.

Before the servers go live, however, the game's first patch is already available for download, taking the title to version 1.02.

The update occupies around 296MB on the PS4, at least according to a screenshot posted by an early copy owner on Reddit.

It's unclear just what's included in the first update for Destiny, but you can expect some last-minute bug fixes and improvements that were made by Bungie after finishing work on the final version of the game.

Expect to see some official details in the following hours or ahead of the game's actual debut tomorrow on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It's unclear for now just how large the game's day-one update will be on other platforms besides the PS4, so stay tuned for more info on that as well.
