Video game developer Bungie might be getting ready to reveal an official Collector’s Edition for its upcoming shooter Destiny in the coming days, although at the moment it is not clear exactly what kind of content it might include.

The company has teased an announcement when answering a question coming from the fan community in an official blog, saying, “Ask us again next week.”

Other questions from potential players of the shooter received much less clear answers from the development team which might mean that we should see an official reveal for a Collector’s Edition of Destiny to be unveiled in early April.

Bungie has not hinted at what it might include.

Given the realities of the modern gaming world, the company is probably planning to include both physical items, which could mean an art book, a statue or a making-of DVD, and in-game items.

A boost in experience gain for all those who buy the Collector’s Edition or even some sort of early access option is also a possibility.

Beta keys could also be linked with the special package.

Bungie has said that it wants to launch an extensive test for Destiny at some point during the summer, although it has not detailed exactly what kind of content will be offered to those who manage to take part in it.

Bungie has traditionally been open with its fans about future plans and it will be interesting to see how it handles the announcement and launch of the Collector’s Edition for its big coming project.

Destiny is described as a social shooter, a game where players will be able to join with others in order to experience a variety of content.

The story will involve travel across the galaxy in order to get all the resources required to keep the last human city on Earth safe.

The core mechanics of Destiny will be linked to the shooter space, but Bungie is also mixing in elements taken from the role-playing and the massively multiplayer online genres.

The experience is designed to be more interesting for those who are ready to interact with other players but the development team says that a solo player can still experience most of the game world, even if his difficulty level might be a little higher.

Destiny will be launched on September 9 all over the world and will be offered on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and current-gen consoles.
