A sketchy report has appeared online claiming that the Destiny beta stage will debut for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms in late July, after the July 17 release of the test build on PS3 and PS4.

Destiny launches on September 9 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, promising to deliver a bold first-person shooter experience with seamless multiplayer and a rich online open world.

Until then, developer Bungie and publisher Activision want to make sure the multiplayer game can withstand the huge rush of players at launch and will organize a special beta in July.

The beta has already been confirmed to debut on July 17 on the PS4 and PS3 and, due to the announced timed exclusivity for PlayStation platforms, Xbox One or Xbox 360 owners have to wait an indeterminate amount of time before getting their hands on the beta.

Now, according to a sketchy report from Videogamer, the Destiny beta for Xbox 360 and Xbox One has been given a late July launch period.

No other details or any exact estimate have been given, but at least it confirms that the beta won't debut in August onto the two consoles.

According to a previous report, the Destiny beta will have four days of exclusivity on PlayStation devices, so Xbox fans might have to wait until July 21 to play it.

Expect to hear more details about the Destiny test phase in the following weeks.
