Angry Birds Go! was only one of the new games that landed on Windows Phone 8 devices today, as Despicable Me: Minion Rush also arrived in the Windows Phone Store.

In this game, users will have to play as Gru’s loyal, yellow, gibberish-speaking Minions in their quest to complete some fun yet tough challenges.

Players will have to compete with other Minions in a series of hilarious, fast-paced contests in order to impress the boss, which is none other than the (previously) super-villain Gru.

According to Gameloft, the company behind the title, users will enjoy a lot of unpredictably hilarious Minion moments, and they will also have to perform a variety of despicable acts through hundreds of missions.

Furthermore, the game will allow them to play through iconic locations, all of which are full of surprises, secrets, and tricky obstacles, including Gru’s Lab, Gru’s Residential Area, and El Macho’s Lair. On top of that, Minions can be customized with unique costumes, weapons, and power-ups.

Despicable Me: Minion Rush will also have players battle Victor, as well as a brand new villain that has been exclusively created for the game.

Some of the main features of the new title include the possibility to explore secret areas, unique boss fights, and amazing power-ups, as well as a variety of custom animations, voiceovers, and state-of-the-art 3D graphics.

Moreover, the title comes with multiple dynamic camera angles for an enhanced experience, and it also allows users to engage with their friends that are also playing the game by sending them funny Minion taunts and challenges.

There is also a series of bonus gameplay modes to enjoy, such as the possibility to destroy things as Mega Minion, or collect bananas while riding the Fluffy Unicorn. Moreover, players will also hang on to Gru’s Rocket for the ride of their life.

You can download Despicable Me: Minion Rush for Windows Phone 8 from Softpedia today.
