British tabloid the Daily Sport is being sued by Teri's lawyers over publishing an article that claimed she had 'sex romps' with men in a Volkswagen van.
Law firm Schillings had been given the green light by Teri in order to start legal procedures against the publication who "falsely alleged that the actress engages in sex romps on a regular basis with a series of men in a VW van parked outside her L.A. home for this purpose."
The legal representatives also said that the claims "were repeated extensively elsewhere in many countries" and that Hatcher "bitterly refutes these offensive allegations."
Teri is currently single. She has a 8-year-old daughter, Emerson Rose, with actor Jon Teney, whom she divorced citing irreconcilable differences in March 2003.
She was also married to Marcus Leithold from 1988 to 1989, him being her first husband. He was quoted as saying that their mariage
was over before they got the wedding photos developed.
On TV screen, both Teri and her 'Desperate Housewives' co-star Marcia Cross appeared on Seinfeld, as possible girlfriends of Jerry Seinfeld.
