Desktop Dungeons, a roguelike puzzle game developed and published by QCF Design, will arrive on Linux very soon.

Desktop Dungeons has been available on the Windows and Mac OS X platforms for quite a while, since November 2013, but the developers are preparing to release the game on Linux as well.

“This is a quick-play roguelike puzzle game that gives you roughly 10 minutes of dungeon-crawling action per serving. It straddles the casual and hardcore boundary in that, while you might die frequently because the game is tricky and unforgiving, it’s so approachable and quick to get into that you keep wanting just one more round,” reads the official website.

The makers of the game have pushed a new update out the door and they made some interesting changes. For example, some fullscreen filtering options have been added to alleviate complaints of blurriness, some issues with specific Steam Achievements have been fixed, and the groundwork for future interoperability with Linux and mobile versions has been put in place.

Some users have reported that Desktop Dungeons is already downloading on the Steam for Linux platform, but the game is not yet playable.

More details about the Desktop Dungeons can be found on the official Steam website.
