Designed for use with mobile computers, the latest addition to Zemno LLC's series of personal computer-related devices is a versatile product that provides full connectivity possibilities in a slim and portable frame. The DeskBook Pro docking station uses the advanced ModBays technology that not only allows hard drives to be connected internally, but also provides a place for battery storage to mobile PC owners when traveling.

"In creating the DeskBook Pro, we at Zemno have applied our own passion for improving mobile computing technology while also listening to the needs expressed by users worldwide," Gregg DeFronzo, Zemno's CEO and lead designer, said. "We believe that our efforts have resulted in a new definition of what a State of the Art docking station should be."

Besides the two drive bays (ModBays), the station, as it should, features a control and command center with connection ports for most externally connected devices on today's market. These include seven USB ports, one Firewire 400 and three FireWire 800 ports, a DVI output, an Ethernet connector, one eSATA data connection and one ESATA power connection, a Flash Card reader, as well as input and output for Stereo Audio (one in, one out).

For those who travel, the docking station will be an excellent companion to any notebook. In addition, when at home, one can simply leave all devices plugged into the DeskBook Pro, no longer having to waste time switching between this and that gadget. This will provide instant access to any and all data stored on the connected devices, letting end-users spend their time performing more convenient activities than plugging and unplugging.

Not just for notebooks, Zemno's DeskBook Pro also works with MacBooks with display sizes of at most 15 inches. Although actual shipments will only start in January, the product is already available for pre-order. The current price is of $500, but for those placing orders until December 25th, the company offers early adopter discounts of 10% off, not just for the DeskBook Pro, but for all products ordered before Christmas.
