New concepts emerge on a daily basis, providing Apple with inspiration

Apple may or may not revamp iOS to look like the concepts hanging around the web like eye floaters. But one thing is certain. The Cupertino giant has a lot of examples to draw some inspiration from.

The latest such example comes from Sentry, a veteran in iOS conceptry who proposes a new way to switch through apps.

Mac users will find the animation particularly reminiscent of the OS X Dock, where simply by hovering with your mouse over the icons, a magnifying effect kicks in.

Sentry believes the same thing can be replicated in iOS with great success. And frankly, so do we. The concept makes a lot of sense from where we stand, and Apple could well consider implementing this in iOS 7.

It takes some real-world testing scenarios to validate this type of functionality, but we’re sure Jony Ive and the software engineers at Apple can pull it off.
