Jewelry was among the first things that popped into peoples' heads when 3D printing took off late last year, and here we are with the latest examples of it.

Designer Ross Lovegrove has created six rings made out of 18 carat gold, rings that will be on display at the Design Miami next week, at the beginning of December.

All rings will be produced in an edition of ten. That means that we’re looking at a limited edition of jewelry, composed of sixty pieces, and 6 originals.

One has to wonder what their collectors item’s worth will be fifty years from now, especially for the originals in the gallery below.

"These rings and this collection appear is as if the very last virgin leaves of a tree or plant have unfurled from one's hand so that there is a relationship between the finger and the leaf, the gold appearing from the delicate void that I find so feminine and sensual and unattended," said Lovegrove.

Quite poetic, and not at all an unexpected wording, given that we are faced with an artist here. Check out more in the video above.
