Gresso, a maker of luxury mobile phones, has announced the upcoming launch of two differently designed iPhones in the coming months. The iPhone 3GS is expected to be launched in July, while the iPhone 4 model should be out by December, just in time for the Christmas holidays. Both devices are limited series and target people willing to pay $3,000 or more for a piece. The manufacturer uses exclusive and very rare materials, which makes the gimmick so expensive.

The iPhone 4 case is made from 200-year old African Blackwood, while Apple's logo on the back cover is made of 18K gold. An interesting thing is the fact that thanks to the African Blackwood used, there won't be two models alike because of the different pattern each piece of wood has. And no, you won't have to worry about protection, as the material is exceptionally strong and durable.

The devices come in two variants, one for men and the other for the ladies. The difference is made by a string of Swarovski crystals, which have been encrusted on the back of the iPhone tagged as 'ladies only'.

Of course, there are two different prices for these: the version targeting gents can be preordered for “only” $3,000, while ladies will have to pay about $3,500 for their Swarovski jewelry version.

Gresso doesn't state if there are any differences in terms of hardware or software between the original iPhones and the exclusive ones, but judging by the way they advertise it, I'd say there's no difference at all. Both iPhone limited series models can be purchased in the Gresso authorized dealer salons or on the website.
