A man has fatally shot his wife after an argument and let the world know via a Facebook post.

He took a photo of her body and posted it on the social network with the caption “Rip Jennifer Alfonso.”

He also confessed to the crime in the same post and later turned himself in at the police station.

“Im [sic] going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife love you guys,” he wrote in the chilling post.

“My wife was punching me and I am not going to stand anymore with the abuse so I did what I did I hope u understand me,” he explained.

Facebook took his profile offline before 5 p.m. on Thursday. The couple had a 10-year-old daughter that police found in the home where her mother was killed. They believe she was there when the shooting took place.

According to the Daily Mail, 31-year-old Derek Medina, of Miami, is in police custody for the murder of 26-year-old Jennifer Alfonso.

Alfonso worked as a waitress and Medina was trying to get her to quit her job, which involved night shifts. Her co-workers tell the Miami Herald that he has had violent outbursts before.

“She would be bruised up,” Amada Cooper describes. She also mentioned him being controlling and jealous.

“He wouldn’t even let her talk on the phone. [...] He always waited for her outside. One time, he went storming in, looking for her, telling her to get outside,” she recalls.

The pair got married within months of meeting each other, in 2010. They got a divorce in three years, then got back together and wed once more.

“He would always come back, begging her … come back. [...] She would say he was going to change. She was in love with him,” Cathy LaBella adds.
