Derek Hough Warns Cheryl Cole: I Won’t Be There when Ashley Breaks Your Heart Again

After deciding that getting back with her ex-husband Ashley Cole was the thing she really wanted to do, Cheryl Cole flew to the US to break the news to good friend (and ex-boyfriend) Derek Hough. He didn’t take it nicely, reports suggest.

Friday morning, Cheryl was in LA, where she still has to shoot some scenes for X Factor, for the auditions stage, as word in the British media would have it.

That evening, she, Kimberly Walsh, who accompanied her on the US trip, and Derek went out for dinner, where Cheryl broke the news of the reconciliation to him, the Daily Mail writes, citing reports in the local media.

Derek, who stood by Cheryl last year as she tried to cope with the fact that her marriage had ended, and who later became her boyfriend, was not at all happy about the things he learned over dinner.

Eyewitnesses say he left the restaurant looking visibly upset. Before that, he tried to reason with Cheryl and make her see that once a cheater, always a cheater.

He even told her to her face that she was in for heartbreak if she went ahead with her plan of getting back with Ashley, officially.

“He has accepted their relationship is over. But he still cares for her as a friend and is convinced Cheryl getting back with Ashley is going to end one way... with Cheryl in tears and heartbroken,” a source is cited as saying of Derek’s reaction.

Admittedly, he even told Cheryl that she could do much better than be with a man who cheated on her time and time again.

“He told her, ‘a cheat will never change and whatever you think, he will betray you. If he breaks your heart again, I will not be your shoulder to cry on’,” says the same unnamed spy.

As we also noted on a previous occasion, Cheryl is believed to have reconciled with Ashley after he convinced her that he was a changed man and would never make the same mistakes again.

Moreover, rumors have it that she also wants to start a family with him: get married again and start trying for children as soon as possible.
