Depths of Peril Patch 1.015 Available for Mac OS X

Mac owners and fans of Soldak Entertainment’s action-RPG, Dephs of Peril, have a new patch to download and install, according to the developer’s website. Patch 1.015 is fresh out of beta and includes both tweaks and bug fixes, while the download is completely free of charge.

The Depths of Peril “Patches” page says, “This is the place to get the latest patches for Depths of Peril. These patches will only work with the full purchased version of the game from our website, the retail version, and the Manifesto version.” The developer adds that said patches will not work with the Reflexive (also known as gamecentersolution), Arcade Town, TotalGaming.net/Impulse, Gamer's Gate, Mac Game Store, or Steam versions of Depths of Peril.

With that out of the way, patch 1.015 for the action/strategy RPG title for Mac OS X known as Depths of Peril brings the following changes:

- fixed Cuastic Grotto spelling;

- fixed localization issue on vendor and bookshelf screens;
- fixed Ember Necklace not localized correctly;
- made Stats::increaseStat a bit safer from overflows;
- can now give food/potions to people from other covenants if adventuring with them;
- now recruits from other covenants keep their bonuses after death;
- fixed next target command;
- fixed treasure map quests to not get out of range of the world;
- made kidnapping quest a bit easier;
- fixed a rare item drop crash on Mac;
- fixed fire mastery not effecting Spontaneous Combustion correctly;
- fixed sweeping flames, ice storm, chain lightning, ball lightning mastery issues;
- fixed a way npcs could potentially get stuck casting.

Depths of Peril puts players in the shoes of a faction leader engaged in defending the barbarian city of Jorvik. Gamers must complete quests and fight monsters, while preparing to defeat rival factions in the race to rule the city. The title requires a PowerPC or Intel 1.5 GHz processor on the player’s end, as well as 128MB of RAM, GeForce 2 (or other equivalent) graphics, and 150MB of hard drive space.

The recommended specs are a 2.0 GHz processor (PowerPC or Intel), 256MB of RAM, GeForce 3 or better (or equivalent).
