Even if it was one of the strangest spectacles, and some might say the most embarrassing, Dennis Rodman's North Korean mission to bring “hoops diplomacy” to dictator Kim Jong Un is going to be turned into a movie.

The Hollywood Reporter says that the Tim Story, the man who directed “Ride Along,” is already in talks with Fox to make the comedy “Diplomats,” based on Rodman's infamous trip to North Korea to play a game of basketball in honor of their dictator president.

The production team also includes Peter Chernin, the man behind the comedy hit “The Heat” as a producer and Jonathan Abrams as script writer.

In case you don't know what Korean mission Story is on about, you must have been living under a rock because Rodman's drunken antics were plastered all over the news as embarrassing footage of him singing “Happy Birthday” in his usual hoarse voice to Kim Jong Un made every red-blooded American cringe.

Rodman's adventures in North Korea will now be turned into a hopefully tasteful comedy that has been described as focusing on the two main characters of Rodman and Jong Un.
