Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards were a controversial couple, to say the least. They split up with a huge scandal, Denise accusing the infamous actor of all sorts of perversities and such. If you remember, she said about him that he had threatened to kill her, that he abused drugs, gambled, had violent tendencies and browsed porn websites with "young girls" and "young boys". Yes, that's an euphemism for kiddie porn or something like it. Soon after that, Charlie claimed those were all lies and that he'd straightened up since his new found born-again Christian religion.
Since those days, Charlie kept out of the spotlights and behaved quite well, while Denise was involved in a scandal with the press and even stole one of her best friends' husband. Yes, that's right people, she and Heather Locklear were good friends before Denise hooked-up with Heather's husband, Richie Sambora.
As reported in the media, after Denise Richards broke up with Richie, they still remained good friends, helping each other get through some serious family problems like parents being ill and both of their divorces officially ending. They both attended the funeral of Richie's father, who died of lung cancer in April, although they were technically split-up for a month due to other responsibilities.
In the mean time, Hollywood's bad boy, Charlie Sheen cleaned up his act and proposed to Brooke Mueller during a vacation in Costa Rica. Charlie gave his new fiancée a half-a-million dollar ring. The actor also has two kids from his last marriage with Denise Richards, Lola, 2, and Sam, 3. This being the case, it's only natural for Denise to know who Charlie will get married to, so she decided to meet Brooke Mueller (ouch, that must've been awkward).
I don't know what one thought about the other, but what is sure is that Denise's kids like Brooke a lot, as she stated for People Magazine: "
I am genuinely happy for the two of them. In fact, I sent them flowers to congratulate them both. I've spent time with her, and my girls really like her. That's all that matters to me". This statement is quite innocent but avoids any commentary on Denise's personal opinion about Brooke. Too bad they're so diplomatic now, I wanted to see some cat fights going on.
