Report says Denise Richards turned down role on “Two and a Half Men” because she fears Charlie Sheen

Denise Richards, the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen, has just turned down a very lucrative offer because she’s afraid of what he might do when he found out about it, it has emerged. The offer was for a cameo on the season premiere of “Two and a Half Men.”

Fans of the CBS hit sitcom know that Charlie Sheen was fired from the show after a very nasty dispute with series creator Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros., even though he played leading character Charlie Harper.

After his departure, the network decided to take a risk and go on with the series without him, bringing instead Ashton Kutcher on board for a new role.

The brand new season, which premieres in September, is crucial in this sense: it will introduce Kutcher’s character and prove that Sheen’s wasn’t the main factor behind the success of the show – or the other way around.

TMZ reports that producers also wanted Denise Richards on the two-part season premiere, which begins with Harper’s funeral. She turned down the offer on personal considerations.

“Denise Richards has turned down an offer to appear on the premiere episode of ‘Two and a Half Men,’ because she thinks Charlie Sheen would make her life miserable,” the e-zine says.

“Sources connected with the production tell TMZ, producers offered Denise a guest starring role for the debut with Ashton Kutcher, but they say she told them she wouldn’t do it because ‘She would never hear the end of it from Charlie’,” says the same report.

Even though they’re now on better terms for the sake of the two children they have together, Sheen and Richards’ divorce has gone down in the history of celebrity divorces as one of the most acrimonious legal disputes ever.

As such, it’s only understandable why she’d want to be on Sheen’s good side for as long as possible.
