14 DAY TRIAL // They dated casually for a few weeks and have decided things were not working out for them. Denise Richards and Nikki Sixx have decided to end the romance they embarked on in December, with sources saying it’s nothing dramatic.
Reports about the two dating emerged shortly after celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D literally went out of her way to prove on Twitter she and Jesse James were still an item, therefore that she wasn’t back with Nikki.
As Us Magazine has learned, Denise and Nikki have been neighbors for years – and in December 2010, they decided to go on a couple of dates to see how that worked out.
It would seem it didn’t work out as they may have imagined in the beginning, for they have just called it quits.
“After a few weeks of casual dating, Denise Richards and rocker Nikki Sixx have gone their separate ways,” Us writes.
At the time word of the romance got out, a source confirmed for the same publication that the two were quite interested in seeing how a romance would pan out for them.
“They have a lot in common and are taking things slowly,” said a spy in December about the blossoming romance. Now, another insider claims the affair wasn’t that serious to begin with.
“It’s crazy how this is being made out to be some big breakup. They were never exclusive or serious to begin with! I could count on my hand how many times they went out,” the tipster dishes for Us.
Admittedly, it was Denise who pulled the plug on the romance, having realized that it simply did not work out for her as she wanted it.
“They decided to try it and she was not interested. That’s dating! This isn’t some big, dramatic split,” the source goes on to say.
Us tried to contact a rep for Denise Richards for comment on the story, but he wasn’t immediately available.
