Not that much time passed since Denise Richards made all the headlines with her nasty divorce from Charlie Sheen and she's all in the newspapers again, this time for causing bodily injuries to two women who were unlucky enough to be under her balcony.
The actress is now in Canada where she's shooting for 'Blonde and Blonder', opposite Pamela Anderson. Both stars repeatedly complained about the paparazzi harassing them while on set and outside it, but no incident occurred until now, save the bad words and a harsher exchange of looks.
However, Denise's patience ran dry the other day when she ripped two laptops out of the paparazzi's hands and ran with them to her second floor balcony. She didn't stop there either, as she took them and threw them down, accidentally hitting two elderly women who were sitting in the lobby.
Police were immediately summoned and reported that the two victims (aged 80 and 91 years old) were grazed by the falling laptops and received minor injuries that did not need any medical attention. Nevertheless, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are still investigating to see whether Denise can be brought to court on charges of illegal mischief.
A spokesperson for the movie studio defended Richards' action, saying that it was prompted by the media constant harassing the members of the cast. 'While trying to stop the paparazzi, Denise Richards was involved in an altercation. To protect her safety she instinctively knocked the paparazzo's laptop off a ledge. Royal Canadian Mounted Police were called to the scene as a precaution and the case was soon closed. No charges were filed against Ms. Richards', was how he downplayed the whole incident.
