Demi Moore Makes First Public Appearance Since Rehab

For the first time since she completed a rehabilitation program at an undisclosed facility in early March, Demi Moore has made a red carpet appearance. The other night, the actress stepped out in public to support a friend.

E! News has the first photo of Demi on the red carpet, surrounded by celebrity friends who also came out to support Amanda de Cadenet for the launch of her new television series.

“Moore stepped out this evening to support one of her best friends, Amanda de Cadenet,” the celebrity e-zine says.

“The 49-year-old attended a special party held at a private residence in Beverly Hills to celebrate the launch of Amanda's TV show, The Conversation, which Demi executive produces,” adds the same.

Also this week, Demi returned on Twitter after a very long pause, which started when speculation on the state of her marriage to Ashton Kutcher peaked last year.

She's still keeping in touch with her friends and followers under the handle @MrsKutcher but she's already thinking of changing her name – which makes sense, since she's no longer with Ashton.

“Time for a change, twitter name change... any suggestions?” the actress wrote on her page, after uploading a photo of herself on her bed in the bedroom.

“collecting all the suggestions! thank you. keep them coming!!” she later wrote, as the Twitterverse immediately responded to her call for suggestions.

Demi Moore has been in the headlines a lot these past few months, and it had nothing to do with her work and / or professional achievements.

Her 6-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher came crumbling down when the tabloids got wind of the torrid affair he had with a girl he picked up in a club precisely on their wedding anniversary.

It was the second scandal in as many years and, this time, there was no saving the marriage – though Demi never stopped trying.

Moore was rushed to the hospital earlier this year, after she reportedly ODed on whip-its. She spent a few weeks in rehab and, now, judging by her most recent photo, she's probably getting ready to go back to work and in the public eye.
