14 DAY TRIAL // Hours ago, Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital for “exhaustion,” according to her publicist. Word has it she's relapsed into drug use, but fresh reports claim she's also suffering from seizures and severe anorexia.
As we also reported earlier today, someone called an ambulance to the actress' home and she was shortly taken to a local hospital, after an initial assessment on the spot.
Her rep wouldn't go into the details of her hospitalization, but various sources tell the glossies she went back to using drugs after her heartbreaking split from husband Ashton Kutcher.
Radar Online has more on that: admittedly, before medics were called to her house, Demi suffered some form of seizure.
She's also receiving treatment for her anorexia, along with the substance abuse problem.
“She collapsed after having an epileptic seizure,” an insider tells Radar.
“Her dramatic weight loss has caused much speculation about her health and the source confirmed that this is one of the issues she is seeking treatment for,” the celebrity e-zine writes.
“Demi is in getting treated for anorexia, as well as other issues that caused her seizure. She has not taken care of her health at all lately and has lost a ton of weight,” adds the spy.
The “other issues” also include substance abuse.
Demi Moore had a very difficult 2011: scandal broke when reports emerged that Kutcher cheated on her with some random woman precisely on their sixth wedding anniversary, and, for quite some time, she struggled to put up a front that denied all the rumors.
It is believed that the star worked really hard on saving her marriage, at one point even considering getting back with Kutcher even though it was the second time in as many years he was caught cheating on her.
Eventually, she admitted defeat, issuing a statement to announce her separation from Kutcher. With all this, she's yet to file for divorce.
