14 DAY TRIAL // It’s been many months since Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher separated, but divorce papers have yet to be filed. This is explained by the fact that neither ever lost hope for a reconciliation, which is likely to happen very soon, it has emerged.
The estranged pair met recently at a Kabbalah center and their reunion was so emotional that friends don’t rule out the possibility of them getting back together again, the Sunday Mirror reports.
For the time being, presumably following said emotional reunion, plans for the divorce have been put “on ice,” the tab claims, citing sources close to the couple.
“They met for the first time this week since Demi, 49, dumped her husband of six years and went into rehab after claims that he had cheated,” the Mirror writes.
“The pair were locked in a 60-second embrace at the birthday party of the man who officiated at their wedding and friends are sure their feelings for each other are as strong as ever,” adds the same media outlet.
Sources confirm that the reunion took place, saying that it was proof that their love for each other never died, despite the hard times they’ve been going through in recent months.
“They are still desperately in love and could be on for a reconciliation. The divorce isn’t being processed right now,” says one such spy.
At the same party, after the embrace, Ashton held a speech for the man of the evening, admitting with tears in his eyes, that he’d made some “terrible mistakes” recently.
Eyewitnesses note that he couldn’t have been talking about someone other than Demi. She, on the other hand, is nearly determined to forgive him for his infidelities again and start from scratch.
“Ashton’s voice started to break as he spoke. He just fell into tears. He sat down to a round of applause while Demi just looked frozen,” notes an eyewitness.
As fans must know, this is not the first time that word gets out that Demi and Ashton might be secretly working out their differences to see if they can save their 6-year marriage.
So far, nothing has come of these rumors, so only time will tell if there’s any truth to the report above.
