Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher Divorce: The Fighting Got Very Intense

Demi Moore has decided to divorce Ashton Kutcher. She didn't say what prompted the decision, but she hinted his infidelity might have had something to do with it. Fresh reports suggest the two fought non stop before deciding to call it quits.

Word online has it that Ashton got caught cheating on Demi for the second time in as many years, and this is the real reason for the divorce.

From the moment the scandal broke in the media to yesterday, when Moore issued the divorce statement, the two put up a united front, which led to speculation that they might weather this storm too.

However, things were far from cool behind closed doors, the Daily Mail writes, citing ongoing reports in the US glossies.

Before they realized their marriage was truly over, the two sought counseling with the Los Angeles Kabbalah center but it was in vain. They would fight like crazy, says an unnamed source.

“Ashton is unhappy; [Demi]'s unhappy. It just got to a point where they had to end it,” says one spy.

“The fighting could get pretty intense. Whatever counseling they did was fine for a quick fix but could not get to the heart of the problem,” adds another.

Other sources claim that it wasn't the fighting but the public humiliation that finally convinced Demi she had to get out of the marriage – and fast – if she wanted to avoid future heartbreak and embarrassment.

“She just couldn't look at Ashton the same way and the marriage... completely unraveled. She still loves Ashton but feels he went too far and disrespected her and their marriage in a way that can't be taken back,” a tipster is quoted as saying.

“She really tried everything she could to forgive him and accept his apologies. At the end of the day, the public humiliation and the example she was setting by staying in the marriage just wasn't the right thing for her,” says the spy.

Demi and Ashton were married for 6 years. The more recent cheating scandal broke precisely on their 6th wedding anniversary, when he reportedly spent the night with a woman only 2 years younger than Demi's eldest daughter.
