14 DAY TRIAL // Photos of the injuries a backup dancer sustained in an altercation with Demi Lovato have emerged online, with the girl saying she’s thinking of suing. Demi’s father has one thing to tell Alex Welch: don’t sue because you don’t stand a chance of winning this in court.
As we also informed you a while back, right before she went to rehab, for issues not yet made public to the press, Demi has a breakdown on a private jet, lashing out at a female backup dancer and punching her so hard she required medical attention.
Photos of the injuries the other girl sustained are just now coming out, amidst reports that she’s “considering her legal options,” while Demi remains in rehab, focusing on solving her problems.
While Lovato’s rep has not yet spoken about this, her father is telling Radar Online that, if Welch is thinking about taking this to court, she’s out to throw money out the window because she can’t possibly win.
“Demi has really good lawyers and so does Disney, this girl shouldn’t sue. She won’t win,” Patrick Lovator says for Radar.
As he sees it, Welch doesn’t even have a case and she’s only targeting Demi because she believes the Disney star is rich enough to pay her off.
“Demi is so successful and she has plenty of money, that’s why this girl would be going after her. She wouldn’t do this if Demi wasn’t famous,” Mr. Lovato adds.
It would be best if Welch simply forgot about the whole thing and called it a day. “It might save her money because it is probably really expensive to hire a lawyer and she isn’t going to win,” he says.
However, the dancer may disagree: admittedly, Demi punched her so hard she was thrown out of her seat on the plane and, as noted above, required medical assistance on the spot.
The photos that emerged online earlier today were taken days after the incident, and they show Welch with a black eye and a bruised cheek, which could be enough evidence to convince a judge that Demi packs quite a heavy punch.
