Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell Find Each Other Annoying on Conan – Video

Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato, one half of the panel of judges for season 2 of X Factor, were on Conan O’Brien the other night to promote the show. Below is a very funny segment of that interview.

It’s a known fact that Simon Cowell also goes by the name of Mr. Naughty or Mr. Rude for a very good reason: he never minces his words when it comes to criticizing an aspiring singer, and he never beats around the bush.

That much straightforwardness can be sometimes interpreted as rudeness.

However annoying this quality of Simon’s might be, he believes fellow judge Demi Lovato can equal him in annoyance, he jokes.

Sitting down for the interview with Conan, the two talked about Simon’s much ridiculed fashion sense (including of his love of cleavage and tight clothes) and how much they annoy each other.

“We're trying to reach a younger demographic, and I don't feel we're going to accomplish that when he's showing more cleavage than Britney [Spears] and I are,” Demi tells Conan.

Simon’s suggestion is one that any man might make: in that case, Demi and Britney should probably consider out-cleavage-ing him.

“I'm good. Thank you!” Demi responds, laughing.

She does concede though that, for this particular interview, Simon has kept it relatively modest, not showing too much of his “moobs.”

“I'm surprised, because normally you could braid your chest hair,” she jokes, prompting a plea from Simon to Conon to “Tell her to stop picking on me, please!”

“Don't pick on him! He's a kind man who's never insulted anyone!” Demi gets reprimanded by O’Brien.

The best part of the interview comes when Conan directly asks Simon, who once described Demi as “the brat,” how he feels about working with her.

“You are very annoying. How's that?” he says.

“How's that?” Demi asks back. “You can be a bit of an [expletive]hole! How's that?” she asks.

Second season of X Factor USA has already premiered with the audition stage. The live shows are bound to start soon – it will be interesting to see how these two interact at that stage.
