Demi Lovato Is Back in Rehab for Coke and Alcohol

Conflicting reports concerning Demi Lovato are getting plenty of attention in the blogosphere today. Word online has it that she's back in rehab for cocaine and alcohol addiction, but her publicist is denying the claims.

For a couple of weeks now, Blind Gossip has been floating a blind item that seemed to refer to Demi: in short, it claimed she had fallen off the wagon and, though working hard to keep up appearances in public, she was sinking deeper in deeper.

The e-zine even hinted that the star's life might be in danger, since she hadn't just gone to her previous ways: she was completely out of control, getting family and friends worried sick that she might turn up dead one day.

The other day, Demi went on a Twitter break, saying just, “Can't please everyone. Twitter break. It's for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Haha. Anyway... BYE!”

Hours ago, Blind Gossip boasting of learning from the most trusted sources that Demi was back in rehab, after her management and family made her see she had a problem.

“Demi Lovato is being admitted to Passages, an in-patient addiction treatment center located in Malibu, California,” the e-zine says.

“While her medical records can not be shared by the treatment center, we have learned from close friends that Demi will be treated for alcohol addiction and addiction to drugs, most notably cocaine. Demi is expected to remain a resident of the facility for several weeks, after which time she will transition to out-patient treatment,” BG writes.

The moment word of this broke, Demi's publicist was on damage control mode, issuing denial after denial.

This from Blind Gossip: “Demi Lovato’s PR team has asked BG to let its readers know that, as of today, 1/25/2012, Demi Lovato is not a resident at an in-patient treatment center. They will not confirm her sobriety and will not be releasing any statements about her sobriety or her personal health.”

Various other sources claim the same, that she's ok and not in rehab but, at the same time, just as many voices are saying it's a cover-up for the fact that she's back to her old ways.
