It’s been getting very hard to keep track of Demi Lovato’s changes in hairstyle but, most likely, fans are willing to try it nonetheless. The singer and actress has just debuted a new blonde ‘do on her latest public appearance.

For those accustomed to seeing her with dark, long locks and a goth princess look, this should be quite a change.

Check out the photo attached to this article to see a new and more elegant Demi at a Washington, D.C. event, where she was honored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for her work on raising awareness on teen issues.

“She looked positively demure in an ivory embroidered fit-and-flare dress, cream-colored blazer and ladylike nude court shoes, all topped by her brand new golden locks,” People magazine writes.

“In addition to the new hue, the star also debuted a new hairstyle — where she usually wears her hair in loose waves or a topknot, she straightened her shoulder-length locks into a smooth bob with her bangs swept to the side,” adds the same publication.

In all fairness, fans probably expected a new change from Demi. In March, she had all her extensions removed and showed off a sleeker bob on Twitter.

On the same note, she never made a secret of how much she loved playing with her hair and experimenting all kinds of things, especially now that she was outside of Disney’s reach and no longer had to conform to an ideal.

“I love changing my hair a lot — I think it's fun. I used to always want to dye my hair blue and purple and pink when I was younger,” she said in a recent interview, as we also reported at the time.

“But I was busy trying to make it in the industry as an actress, and it was hard to go in for auditions with blue hair. And so when I heard of the dip-dye trend, I loved it, and I felt like I could finally dye my hair blue. You know you've made it when you can dye your hair blue,” Demi added.
